Raampur Ka Lakshman - Yes, our hero Lakshman hails from the village Raampur, has a very unusual faith in Raam. He actually talks to him.
To bring back Prakash, his childhood friend, he sets out to Bombay. He had learned gratitude from his father and he wanted to prove his gratefulness to Prakash's father - for he had saved his life when Lakshman was an infant at the cost of his foot.
Lakshman leaves Raampur for Bombay to bring back Prakash, but little did he expect that Prakash is sentenced on a murder charge to be hanged. Prakash swears by Raam that he is innocent and that is good enough for our Lakshman. He says "May be the entire community of gangsters are on one side but I have Raam on my side".
He bumps into the glamorous Radha — who is she ?
He bumps into Kumar — who is he ?
He bumps into a middle-aged woman who begins to love him as if he is her own son — who is she?
"Raampur Ka Waasi Hoon - Lakshman Mera Naam"
"Seedhee Sadi Boli Meri - Seedha Saada Kaam"
You see, where our Lakshman is concerned, nothing is straight.
Straight or crooked, he has to save Prakash from the gallows and he does.
You see, this bold but not a sissy villager Lakshman does not know failure - even if he has to sacrifice his own elder brother...
